What is teak?
Teak is commonly referred to as the ‘King of Woods’ and is sourced from the Tectona grandis tree. Teak is a dense, close-grained type of hardwood, holden in colour with a smooth texture. As it’s high in natural oils and rubber, it is incredibly strong and durable, with high resistance to extreme weather conditions and rotting.

How to care for teak furniture
One of the main benefits of teak is that it’s incredibly easy to maintain. As it is such a dense hardwood, it is capable of withstanding even the most extreme weather conditions. Fresh teak is a golden-brown colour which naturally ages to a beautiful silver-grey shade over time. How to store teak garden furniture
Teak garden furniture can be left outside all year round as the natural oils in the wood make it incredibly durable. If you do want to store your teak to protect the colour or to save space in the garden during the winter, we recommend storing it in a garage, shed or outhouse.
What do the different teak grades mean?

There are three grades of teak available, however, those looking for top-quality teak should always opt for Grade A. Grade A teak has an even colour and doesn't come with a risk of splitting or shrinking over time.
